Nyingmapa Cham
The Nyingma order is the original group of Tibetan Buddhists, and they trace their roots directly from Padmasambhava, also known as Guru Rinpoche. They are less wealthy than other orders, and rely on 'mantrins' to carry out the burden of their religious duties. Mantrins are not ordained, much like Deacons in the Christian tradition. Mantrins are characterized by not cutting their hair, which in old age can be two or three meters long and is wrapped around the head.

The video below is a Losar cham, with minimal dancers and a small orchestra. In spite of its small size, the dance is intense and masterfully performed.
